December Partner Letter

It’s the Christmas season and the end of 2012. Often we spend this time looking back on the year and looking forward to the year to come. We are so grateful for the incredible people who have hooked up with us and supported us through finances, prayer, and sometimes even just a place to stay! The Bible tells us in Proverbs 18:16 that a man’s gift makes room for him; your giving has certainly made room for you in our hearts. Thank you so much for your partnership over the past year as we have worked to establish the foundation of this ministry. We look forward to partnering with you as God continues to grow us over the years to come.

Over the last year, we have traveled to spread the word about RSUM, to respond to natural disasters, and to help local ministries fulfill their vision. Most recently, we spent nearly five weeks in New Jersey and New York helping with relief efforts after Hurricane Sandy left its mark on the Northeast. We had an incredible opportunity to work with other ministries and local churches in Long Island and Staten Island, NY, and Brick, NJ. We did a little bit of everything, from cutting trees to mudding houses to ministering to those in need at a local food pantry. We are excited to return to the Northeast at the end of December for more disaster response work.
