March/April Partner Letter

Recently I was considering ways to get the word out about the ministry of  Right Side Up Ministries. I was thinking about how I could increase my Partner Letter circulation without increasing my costs. For weeks now I have been thinking about this, wondering if it is really possible to accomplish. I would come up with an idea and find, through further research, it was not possible. Suddenly, the other day, while I was sharing with someone about my blogs, I realized that I already have an avenue to get the Partner Letter out to more people, for free! It’s the RSUM blog. I cannot believe that it took me this long to figure it out, but without further ado, here it is, in its entirety, just as it will be every couple months.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” – Matthew 5:16

Dear Friend,

Greetings everyone! I pray things are well with you. Things have been busy here. You may have heard about the snow storms last month that hit all across the United States. Tulsa received a record snowfall of 14 inches in a 14 hour period of time. For those of you that live in the northern states this may seem like nothing, but here it halted everything. Snow removal equipment is limited, causing many to be stranded at work, in stores, and on the roads. Being blessed with a four wheel drive truck, I was able to spend much of my off time over three days helping people get to and from work, to the store, and help people free up their vehicles and dig out. Eight days later we were hit with another storm of 8 inches. I was able to help people again by providing rides through the unplowed back roads, as well as helping people shovel out from the heavy snow.

This past month I also started volunteering at the John 3:16 Mission in downtown Tulsa. Every week I have the opportunity to help prepare bags of groceries to give out to families in need in the surrounding communities. This month I will also begin to do a Gospel presentation once a week for the clients coming to receive help. In addition to this I will begin to work with an outreach called “Search and Rescue”, which goes out into the community to find people in need of help.

The end of January I started a weekly Bible Study where I work. After work on Saturday mornings we get together to discuss and learn more about the Bible and God’s Word. It is a great opportunity to encourage the people I work with to share their faith in unique and creative ways with others.

Thank you again for all of your prayers and support. This ministry would not be able to function without you. I look forward to see what else God has in store for this ministry as I work to let the light shine before men.

Thank You and God Bless
