September Partner Letter
Hurricane Harvey Relief Update
We are working in Beaumont, Texas with Amelia Baptist Church, doing flood relief work after Hurricane Harvey. We are very excited to be partnered with a pastor who has a real heart to make an impact in his community and the surrounding areas of Port Arthur and Orange.
Scott worked with a team from New Orleans to gut a flooded home of a single mom with two young autistic children. The family has been staying temporarily in a nursing home with the grandmother. When we first starting working at the house, the family was planning on just walking away from the home. But now, filled with hope, they are planning on moving back into it. We are planning to be able to start mold remediation on this home soon.
We are planning on staying in Beaumont for the next few months, helping the church transition to a long-term recovery and rebuild effort. We will be returning to Tulsa for a couple of weeks in October to move out of our rental home, but plan on coming back to Texas after that.
The girls are becoming great road travelers! During the first two weeks of September, we drove from Oklahoma to Arizona and then back to Texas. They were real troopers! We had some very, very long days in the truck, but they became traveling pros by the end of it.

Everyone is adjusting well to life in our new camper. Madeline even has a new hideout spot with her toys.
Emily is starting to move around more and will be on the go before too long! We are excited to see how much these girls change and grow in the coming months.
Prayer Corner
Praise!
We Have a Camper
– Celebrate and praise God with us for our recent donation of a 33 ft. travel trailer. With the addition of this trailer, we are now mobile and able to travel as a family.
Prayer
Ministry
– Please pray with us for the people we are ministering to daily. Many have gone through the traumatic experience of being rescued by boat and then returning to an uninhabitable home.
Finances
– Please pray and stand with us for all of our needs being met. With the travel trailer, we have an increased budget so our monthly support needs will increase as well. God is our provider and He will always see us through!
Needs
Disaster Response Fund
– We want to provide the local church with gift cards they can give affected families. If you would like to give towards this, please visit our Amazon wishlist at or contact us for more information.
